Summer at the Aquarium – Weeks 1 and 2

Each week this summer the Fundy Discovery Aquarium will present a different interactive exhibit. Huntsman staff will raid the backrooms and their personal stashes of hidden treasures to show off some Bay of Fundy specialties.  There will also be children’s activity sheets for each exhibit.

Week 1 – July 2-8
Plankton Week: view plankton using a microscope, check out the huge food pyramid, and make phytoplankton to add to the exhibit.

Week 2 – July 9-15
Biodiversity Week:  dig for worms in the sand, view shells from around the world, check out the deep sea models, and take home a painted sand dollar.

Also, each week there are children’s day camps on Wednesday and Saturday.  For more information about how to register visit our website www.huntsmanmarine.ca/aquarium or call (506) 529-1200.

Below are some pictures of what we have been working on for weeks 1 and 2.  Check out tomorrow’s blog for a sneak peek of weeks 3 and 4.
