St. Stephen - Group 3

Today we were visited by the final two classes from St. Stephen Middle School.  As the students before them did; they took part in activities involving plankton and the use of a microscope, classification of marine invertebrates, as well as a closer look at the lobster.  The students finished their day with a quick trip to Brandy Cove to explore the tide pools.

These boys are intently studying a Rock crab in order to complete a detailed drawing.

The Rock crab was very popular.

These girls are trying to get a better look at the Acadian Hermit crab.

Here is one students drawing of the Rock crab. Although we did not have any Green crabs today, they thought to include a detailed drawing of it as well.

This student carefully handles a Sea star in order to get a better look.

These students are using a field guide to better understand their creature.
